Sunday night. ER experience... Coming to ER, we we...

Sunday night. ER experience... Coming to ER, we were promptly "logged in" to their system. 15 minutes later a nurse saw my spouse and administered pain drops to alleviate the pain. Thereafter, we were asked to wait at reception. 30 minutes later (!!!) we asked on what the status was - were told that we are "second in line." Another 20 minutes later - we were told that "a bed is being prepared for you." A BED?! We told them that we don't have all the time in the world to wait HOURS for doctors while occupying their beds... We were told that there is "no way around this."

Observations... Nurses running around yelling patients' first names. Other nurses coming out and saying to them that so-and-so is already with other nurses. As if watching a comic show... People being wheeled in to be admitted who came 30 minutes after us. Slow and disorganized process it was. And my wife and I were "FORGOTTEN!"

Upon leaving the ER (could not sit and wait any longer), we asked a nurse to put another set of drops into my spouse's eye and told them we are leaving. She did. But would not give any drops or anything "to go." Yet, she made sure to implant FEAR into my wife's head - "it's NOT going to get better!!! It's your EYE after all!!! You WILL get worse if you leave and than you will BLAME US!" What the h@#$ is this woman saying - I thought? Is she cursing us?..

In large letters in admission hallway was a sign that read that "every person deserves compassionate treatment, etc." - we did not receive any of that as employees were frantic and put too many people in front of us who came way later than we did...

In Conclusion... 1.5 hours in ER - was it worth it? NO!!! The WORST ER experience in my entire life!!!
