I have been to the botanical Gardens a number of times spanning over 10 yrs or more. I visited yesterday after not having been in around 4 years and I was really dissapointed. The place is still very beautiful, lots of lovely areas to sit and relax, however there were many areas that were unkempt and just let go. Areas cordoned off and overgrown and not nearly as many bright colourful flowers as I'd remembered. There were a group of adults who were sat with music on the main lawn, women in bikinis walking around....this is fine at the right time and place, maybe a beach or even the park, but I felt it was a little out of place. Also some of the staff were very nonchalant and unfriendly,sulking about the place huffing and puffing and I felt like a nuisance by just being there. I'm the least fussiest person in the world and am the last to ever complain so this review doesn't come lightly. Hope it picks up and perhaps I caught it on an off day
