Once a bastion of Boston's buzzing Gastropub scene...

Once a bastion of Boston's buzzing Gastropub scene the Spirit of Endeavour has, of late, suffered at the hands of cruel overlords.

Its once mighty quiz night (on a Wednesday) has suffered since the famous quiz master Andy left. After fiddling around with the quiz it's now nowhere near as good, and nor is it as popular.

The menu has also suffered from mismanagement and the dilly dallying of the various overbearing corporate masters. It used to be simple but good quality and good value. But its two-for-ten deals which used to take up the majority of the menu are now replaced by only five poor quality choices.

The food is generally inadequate and poor value, despite being labelled as "Great Value and Quality".

I would highly recommend avoiding this establishment unless you really are desperate, it is soulless, crushingly bad value and redeemed only by one member of its staff (Wendy) who - despite the maelstrom of bullsh** swirling around her - has remained a stalwart, entertainingly satirical bar lady.

If not for her me and my comrades would have abandoned this hell hole of an establishment many moons ago.
