Dr. Riaz Rayek and his team of dental hygienist's ...

Dr. Riaz Rayek and his team of dental hygienist's are capable and friendly; all my dental procedures have been pleasant. With that said, the billing department/office management which Dr. Rayek is ultimately responsible for (being that it's his practice) is another matter.
After receiving bills after I paid for work rendered the same day, I would receive additional bills at a later date with the explanation being "your insurance didn't cover this." This occurred AFTER I made it clear to the billing coordinator I wanted pre-authorization for all work as to avoid surprise bills at a later date. Guess what .... surprise bills rolling in. One of the bills I received was for $1800, upon enquiry I was told to disregard it, there had been an error. Wonderful; no coronary that day. Today however, is a different matter. Upon my enquiry about a $163 I was told what I actually owe is $1400 .... lovely.
My husband learned quickly and changed dentists the first time this took place with him. He has NEVER received a surprise bill from his new dentist, imagine that!
This is the 3rd time it has happened to me and I have finally learned my lesson.
I advise future clients of this practice to proceed with caution with regard to costs.
