I approached the disability person's service desk ...

I approached the disability person's service desk for assistance because apart from the airline desk, there was no other help desk in terminal 4. The two ladies on the desk, one of whom was too busy on her cellphone chat, were dismissive and rude. I asked for a senior member of staff and they laughed and wished me luck, before turning their attention back to their cell phones.
Poor customer representation is not acceptable in any airport - and certainly not in the USA
