wow! just wow! the visitor center is small but the park rangers were extremely helpful and kind. the dunes are very impressive!!! once in a lifetime experience. do keep in mind that you need to wade through a shallow creek. i recommend arriving in early morning before the sand gets hot, wading through the creek in bare feet, and then putting on sandals/shoes/boots if you intend to hike more than just to the base of the dunes.

very fun experience for people of all ages.
