Monroe Properties is amazing! I was blessed to have been able to work with Kayleigh. I was calling on a Wednesday and got an apartment by the following Friday. I called other rental properties seeking to get an apartment in the same week, Kayleigh was the only person that had taken my request seriously. On my way to meet her to view the apartment, I was stuck in traffic. I arrived later than scheduled... much later.... and she still met with me even after her working hours. Kayleigh you are an amazing asset to Monroe Properties, because of your commitments I was able to find a beautiful property that fit my needs.
Key features that stood out among the rest:
- online friendly (paying rent and signing contract)
- pet - friendly property
- patient friendly staff (Kayleigh)
- military specials
**** It has been 6 months renting from Monroe Properties and Kayleigh continues to give amazing customer service. I went to Richmond ASPCA to adopt a dog; one requirement when interested in adopting a pit bull mix from ASPCA is to verify that the renters welcomes all breeds (specifically pit bulls). The Monroe Properties Rules and Regulations state:
Pets: Your pet(s) must first be approved by management, and management has full and sole discretion in the matter. If your pet is approved, it is with the understanding that it will not cause any damage, disruptions, or otherwise disturb neighbors. Having a pet is a privilege that can be revoked, and management reserves to do so at its sole discretion. Should your pet privileges be revoked, your pet will no longer be allowed on the premises but you will still be bound by all other provisions of your lease. When in common areas, dogs must be on leashes at all times. Yards and gardens are not to be used as pet bathrooms. You are responsible to pick up after your pet.
Showing this to the ASPCA did not confirm that pit bulls were permissible. Monroe Properties office hours are during Monday through Friday, I was at the ASPCA on a Saturday. I was desperate because the dog that I wanted was amazing and I felt that if I didn't get him that day, I would miss the chance to add him to the family. I texted Kayleigh a video of the dog and asked her if having a pit bull mix was allowed. When I texted her, it was near closing time, so I didn't get the response in time to be able to adopt the dog. I figured it wasn't meant to be. Point is, no matter what day or time, I have been helped, and have also received responses in any questions or needs. Now I am not saying that blowing up her phone on a Saturday was appropriate, but what I am saying: She cared. Thank you Kayleigh and Monroe Properties for providing me an amazing experience with our rental agreement and your customer service.
