Went yesterday with my wife, son and his friend, both aged 11. Wasn t sure what to expect from the day out with the virus and all that entails hanging over us, plus the weather forecast looked pretty risky. However, we pushed on to make the best of it.

Parking in every other bay (only) suggested the park would be running at half capacity, encouraging I thought. But once we were in and a few hours had passed, it was utterly heaving - by my interpretation anyway - I can only imagine how congested it must be on a normal day .

The rain, and presumably the virus, meant many rides were closed, so pushed crowds towards those that were open. Wait times of an hour were common, some as much as and hour and a half. We waited for the Haunted House, our second ride of the day, for an hour, only to be told it was closing due to a technical fault. By now it was lunch time so went to find food. Most stalls were closed, but we found a fish and chip shop, which was great, but packed.

So here s what we got:

- 6.5 hours at the park + 5 driving
- 4x rides
- 4-5 hours of queuing
- Fish and chips, some drinks and nibbles
- No photos

It s not a great model for the Lego management.

We made the best of a difficult day, but it s not what I d call value for money at the moment.
