Awesome trails for running and hiking. There are enough people there to feel safe but not too many. My children like to hangout at the pond to watch the turtles and that single blue Heron. We also enjoy the butterfly garden. The canopy of the trees provide a source of shade in the summer and keeps the sun out of your eyes while running. We have a lot of coyotes around the neighborhood but I've never seen any at the preserve. Be sure to stay on the trails and do not venture into the grass. Once, my son, began walking in the grassy area and a rattle snake immediately put him back on the trail!! CRP is "closed" on Monday's. However, this just means the gate is closed because people park out front on the grass, then hop/crawl under the gate to get in. Lol. I've seen many old and young show up on Monday to enjoy a very scenic CRP.
