Great place to visit but a little pricey for a family of 4. Worth going, though, with advanced planning. Start with parking @ $16 all day across the street. If you have grade school or middle school kids and they're not big on art, maybe skip LACMA and opt for the Tar pits. Consider their annual family membership if you think you'll visit more than once in a year (hey, it's tax deductible). BTW admission here is separate from the Tar pit museum.
