I used to come here especially when I was doing my A Levels (one in Art and Art History) many years ago.

I was in fact accepted at Southwark College of Art to do my Foundation course but I wanted to do English so spent a couple of years working (in Finance - as all my school friends did that!).

So...when I see an artwork I know the history behind many of the artists. I already had my first oil painting set at 12 yrs old - a birthday present.

I remember this art museum housing a very impressive collection of artwork and well...a coffee is a must for me.

The cafe is the first place I visit when I come here. It did a nice selection of cakes to go with tea. Coffee for me is latte anything but tea first !

Preferably with scones !

The cafe is a must (10++ stars).

Overall one of the best art museums to visit.
