I had a bad experience with a Toronto BMW. I took my car in for repair and they had it for 3 days. When I picked it up I noticed that there was a bit of cosmetic damage on the centre consul inside the car. They refused to accept responsibility for the damage. Furthermore they told me to read the fine print of the paper I signed when I dropped the car off which they said stated that they were not responsible for any damage to the vehicle. The fine print actually states that they are not responsible for any damage beyond the dealership s control, but my contention is that the dealership caused the damage and is therefore responsible. I called BMW Canada, but they told me that all dealerships are independent franchises so there was nothing they could do.
