I was a member for nearly 10 years. I had everything there--my checking, savings, credit card, auto loan, a joint account with my partner. This credit union has always been way behind technologically. And customer service has always required A LOT of followup. I kind of just dealt because it was a small credit union and seemed like a better option than a corporate bank. But they did an "upgrade" of their core system in August 2018 that made the website experience even more difficult. Their campaign to notify members of this major update consisted of a direct mail flyer mailed during voting season and one email that was literally a PDF attachment of that same flyer. On top of the poor communication, there were huge glitches, like losing transactions off of the register, creating duplicate accounts, and no longer synching with Mint. When I shared these inconveniences, I got nothing but defensiveness from member services. So I switched to Patelco, which is way better on every front--rates, tech, customer service.
