I adopted a 2 year old pit mix back in 2012. He had two pen pals who came to the shelter each week to help train him, get him outside, and make him more comfortable. This shelter needs more amazing volunteers and donations. As the only open I take shelter in Philly, they take in every single animal that lands on their doorstep.
