DCH is terrible. Medical and office staff. Particularly when collecting money owed. They operate in a college town where the vast majority of patients are students whose housing leases change year to year. Yet their only form of notification when money is owed is through paper mail. No calls, voicemails, emails, or the like. They will send mail to whatever address they have on file and if it isn't responded to they will call a collection agency to handle bill collecting for them. I'm a graduate of the University of Alabama (no longer in Tuscaloosa) and DCH recently called a collection agency on me for blood tests my doctor ordered several months ago while I still lived in Tuscaloosa. It was my first time hearing about it and it was really concerning for someone who is trying to establish credit early in their career. The collection agency couldn't give me any details as to why I owed $300 dollars, yet I paid it anyways. Now, a month later I receive a call from an automated operator (after DCH bus. hours) asking for my account number (which I have never been given), and I'm assuming they want more money from me. But, I couldn't confirm or deny that because the call was after hours.

To add to this when I had the blood tests done, the lab tech did a poor job of inserting my IV which resulted in me blacking out and waking up on the ground in a terror screaming bloody murder. I don't trust DCH with my money or my medical care.
