First time here. The high ceilings give a really nice ambience. Service staff was friendly and filled our glasses of water without us having to ask. I got the lunch set, with a starter of parma ham with rock melon, main of carbonara with salted egg sauce and a panna cotta for dessert.

Before our food came, some different types of bread was given. Did not see what types of bread were given but they were quite special and more importantly tasted good.

Following that, the food begins to come out of the kitchen. The starter was interesting, since parma ham and rock melon isn't a combination one normally sees. The sweetness of the rock melon nicely complements the saltiness of the parma ham.

The carbonara was also quite special, with the spaghetti more like a linguine which also retained a somewhat hard texture when most carbonara have noodles that get somewhat limp. The salted egg sauce was okay, not your typical cream sauce but nothing really special in my opinion. The meat was sufficient and gave some further texture to the dish.

Lastly, the panna cotta was quite good and was one of the best panna cotta I've had. I think it came with apricot paste on the plate and blackcurrants on top. Makes for a quite sweet dessert that rounds off the meal nicely.

It is 3 courses for $45 excluding 7% GST and a 10% service charge, which rounds up to about $53 total. Not the cheapest Italian meal around but I think it is quite good value for the money given the quality of the food. We did encounter an issue where their payment terminal had an issue and did not accept my nor my friend's cards despite multiple attempts, only finally working after about 10 minutes. Not fair to dock points off the restaurant or the staff though as I don't think it is their fault, but it was my experience there today.

Overall a nice and quiet establishment with good food at decent value.

(my apologies for the imprecise names of the food, I did not take down the Italian names for the various courses and it was not reflected in the receipt nor their online menu)
