Let s start with the fact that I regularly visited Plank. Any time I hosted friends from out of town I would treat them to a meal at plank due to the venue s brilliant ambiance, tasty tots and blackberry mojitos. Again, I ve been countless times and know the service is always mediocre. Although the service has always been average at best- I kept giving them the benefit of the doubt due to the venue s aesthetic and great concept (and the tots).

Today was the last time I ever visit or refer this restaurant/bar. Around 5pm I arrived with a visiting friend and my husband. We started playing jenga and I kept flagging the wait staff. I was told once that the gentleman didn t serve my table but would call my waiter. Long story short we waited for 45 minutes before receiving ice water and the food WE ordered over at the bar. The server assigned to us was incompetent and kept telling me he got me . Not only did he not get me, he couldn t even bring me the blackberry mojito we had ordered after an hour and a half. I then had the supreme pleasure of waiting further to speak with the manager who came and went without addressing the issue (later to be trailed by the bill). I let the one polite staff person know that the manager should comp the meal and should be returning shortly. Although he comped the bill he did not return. If you don t have the decency to present yourself, address the issue and apologize for the inconvenience, what kind of model do you expect your team to follow? I spent an hour and a half at Plank this evening and don t even know the name of my server or the so-called manager.

Thank you for upsetting me so much that I had the energy to steam clean my carpet and make my OWN blackberry mojito.
