Review of The Surin Hotel. Phuket

The hotel is set on the best beach we've ever been...

The hotel is set on the best beach we've ever been to. Private, clean, wide and long. Breakfast is varied and tasty. Accommodation is nice but rather simple for the price you pay. The price is more about the beach and surroundings rather than the facilities. Views may differ significantly in the cottages of the same category, so ask the staff to give you choice before you agree.
Also, for what you pay you do not expect weddings to take place at the hotel's restaurant leaving half of the cottages with midnight loud music. The hotel knows it disturbes people but it still keeps arranging weddings every 1-2 weeks. They just send you a bottle of sparkling wine in the morning and consider this will make up for not sleeping till deep night. Really?
All in all, we definetely enjoyed our honeymoon at the Surin hotel because we are nature lovers and were looking for a quiet and peaceful holiday but if you are a sophisticated traveller looking for the highest 5-start standards, you should not expect too much.
