I just returned home from visiting family members who reside in your housing development, Northview Estates, in Vian, OK. While it is a very neatly kept development of homes, I did not feel welcome, practically the minute, I set foot on your property. As I was unpacking my car, I encountered the rudest and most unprofessional lady, Diane, who referred to herself as the "property manager". During puffs of foul smelling cigarette, I felt interrogated as she repeatedly questioned me, inquiring who I was, who I was visiting, and why my business was. This was all during the first 15 minutes of my visit while I was unloading my car. I answered her questions but I felt very unwelcome by her inquisitive demeanor and demanding presence. I mentioned the encounter to my family members and they basically told me, not to feel bad, that Diane is always like that and she basically is the neighborhood bully who wears a property manger title. Its very disheartening to see a person in an authoritative position to take advantage of their role and treat people in such a demeaning and disrespectful way. I would hope the experience I encountered in Northview Estates is not representative of the principles and values of your organization.
