Lets be honest, this is simply an indoctrination facility. My mother sent me here in 2004 despite me making it clear to her I didnt believe the same things she did. Despite having many fun camp activities and being obviously well funded... fun, and childhood memories are off the table if you aren't already HEAVILY into Jesus. I was bullied by the other kids for not being enthusiastic about the forced sermons several times a day. The "worship" is very much song and dance style so that it keeps the kids attention, and if you don't want to wave your hands around and cry openly about Jesus you get singled out for "special counselling", where the staff sit down with you and explain how not opening your heart to jesus (or equally trite nonesense) is the reason you are so unhappy... nope, the reason I was unhappy was because I saw how fake it all was... kids barely old enough to make their own decisions being forced to recite empty lines about their love for jesus while wrapping it in camp activities to make it attractive. I imagine ill get some hate flung at me for postig this, but i need to stick up for kids with parents like mine. If your child does not have a strong jesus conviction, PLEASE don't force them to go to this camp. I suffered bullying and anguish because I didnt believe and nearly had a complete breakdown by the end of camp. If your kid wants to go here. Great. If they don't, PLEASE do not force them.
