Manager Hillary Schwartz was absolutely unprofessional and I would NEVER go anywhere she works again-most especially this Austin W hotel. The food and drinks were great but when Hillary got involved after our check was paid (she was not our server) she came outside to tell our party that we were not to have any outside beverages. Being from Missouri, we did not know we weren t allowed to bring the bottle we didn t finish at the restaurant we went to for dinner before heading to the W for dessert. We did not drink the bottle we brought and actually all got different drinks but Hillary came outside and confiscated the bottle from us accusing us of knowingly breaking the law. We weren t knowingly doing anything wrong. So, we gave her the bottle and she offered to buy us a bottle at the hotel if we were guests. I said we weren t so she said she could probably do something where we are staying and asked where. When we weren t staying at a Starwood Preferred Guest hotel she could t help us. Major fail - she over promised and under delivered. So we were just going to leave but when we were about to head next door to another W facility I asked for a plastic cup so I wasn t bringing the glass onto the dance floor - she refused and said it s illegal. So, we did not go next door to dance nor did we give any more of our dollars to any other employee employed by W hotels because of her lack of professionalism. I would never ever ever come back here and if you ever interact with Hillary please be warned that she is rude, unprofessional and absolutely unwilling and unable to make a guest happy. Be warned!
