North of Patras, the other Greece is always visible, and from Rion, a small seaside town a few kilometers east from Patras, the "two Grecias" are so close that it takes only a few minutes to connect them by ferry. The Rion Antirion Bridge, open to traffic in 2004, is also splendid, also nicknamed the Poseidon bridge.
