On a busy Sunday I decided to take my two friends out for dinner. We decided to go to Trattoria Nervosa. At the time reservations were not taken for dinner in advance online. When I got to the restaurant I asked for a table at 6:00, and they assured me it would be a half an hour wait (6:30) - ok. I also stated how my friends and I were limited to 2 hours. We waited around the area for this time, we checked in again. With the illusion that we'd be getting the time kept ticking. We finally got a table at 7:30, we'd also noticed that other parties were waved through before us with the service knowing we were crunched for time. We were asked to give up a table by the restaurant for a family with a dog at around 7:10 - ok. We were finally seated at 7:30 at a table for 2. With COVID we have to socially distance at the table. There was an empty table beside us that one server wanted to give us so we'd have more space. Then another server reprimanded the suggestion. My one friend had to sit awkwardly on the sidewalk, they figured that because we didn't have much time by this point that it wasn't worth giving us an extra table for our convenience. I was appalled by the lack of thoughtfulness and the capricious choices of the servers in this instance. By the time we got our food we had to take it to go. This restaurant needs to be more organized on busy service.

The food is a point above par as compared to other Italian restaurants in Toronto.
