Sadly there are some INCREDIBLE PROVIDERS committed to Whatcom County care but Peace Health Corporation appears to be run by lawyers and accountants and have lost their mission and vision for patients. I have been in this community for 30 years and am not only appalled but saddened by its demise. The sisters are turning in their graves! I cannot determine whether Peace Health is maintaining their Joint Commissions Accreditation. I cannot find any information to confirm they still have it. If they have lost it then it is VERY CONCERNING . I see poorly organized and implemented services. Policies seem fluid and it is hard to get information or determine policies even when I have asked. This breeds mistakes and poor care. I have turned in numerous concerns and complaints in their surveys since 2009 with no feedback except for defensiveness or threats. We are in the midst of a monopoly that does not seem to care about our community. I hope I am wrong but a review score of 2 seems to confirm my concerns. I now choose to go south for in hospital care after several personal and family situations.
