Compared to other Best Western Plus locations, this one falls a bit short especially when you pay $150 for a suite. The room doors are exposed to outside, so you can't navigate the property or go have breakfast or go down to the spa without first going outside. The room was decent, but covered in fake wood paneling everywhere... like stepping into the 70s, even the mini-fridge door was covered in wood laminate. On breakfast, I very specifically asked Michelle about the classic Best Western waffles. I even "joked" that if they didn't have the waffles it would be a deal-breaker, and was assured all was well in the world of waffles... but when I went down for breakfast (having to bundle up, because you gotta go outside to get down there) there were no waffles or waffle maker and the staff seemed confused at the concept. Also, good luck finding a place to sit down to eat during prime breakfast hours. I would still give it a 4, but the only other thing I asked about was pool & hottub and was told they were both working. The pool is outdoors and freezing, the hottub was under maintenance, and even if they were both working (and the pool was inside) you would have to bundle up (or freeze) to get down to them to start with. Final thought is that I didn't get any bonus for Platinum rewards... every other property gives a free room upgrade and/or gift bag with treats.
