It is next to the National Gallery, slightly set back from the square. In a sense, it is a "branch" of the National Gallery. The difference is that this museum focuses on portraits, so if we want to know what face the fourth Duchess of Northumberland did or how long the whiskers of the Archduke of Gloucester were, we'll find out here. In the end, it is better to go there with a minimum of idea of what to see or you risk getting bored by too many too similar faces. However, the rooms are well organized and the paintings are carefully commented. A ride, maybe faster than the National one, it's worth doing
