Worst administrative experience I have ever encountered. I had made an appointment to get my eyes checked and they had communicated to me that I was going to get a voucher for my visit. Upon arrival and half way through my appointment some individual called Pam came in and handed me a clip board and told me to just sign. Pam didn t not explain what she was requesting me to sign or why I needed to sign it. As I am reading these forms there is no where in the documents that state that I will be receiving a voucher for my visit.

When I asked, Pam told me i didn t qualify for a voucher and when I asked why she said that my prescription was a low grade. Now, for someone who has worked for nonprofit, government and state organizations where I myself In the past organized events in low income communities To provide these vouchers to them as these services are vital to our society especially now, her response made no sense to me.

As a mom of a baby who s not even 1 yet, all the resources that you can get are helpful especially now due to the pandemic. I require these services like many other people in my shoes. It is not fair for employees to take it upon themselves and make management decisions. I had to travel 33 miles and paid a baby sitter In order for me to attend this appointment and it would have been the professional and right thing to do to let me know of any changes before hand, which They didn t.

In the forms that I was asked to sign, I didn t feel comfortable giving this clinic authorization to release my medical history so when Pam noticed that I did not sign it she said you need to sign it because it s part of the program now for other people who are in a rush or don t read through the paperwork they probably would of listen to Pam s wrong information but not me. When I expressed to her that I was exercising my right to not sign she made a snide remark and was rude.

I then asked her again why I did not qualify for a voucher and what I needed to do to qualify for one and yes I was testing her. Her response was, it was the clinic doctors choice. Now these programs are made by the state for people in low income situations so no doctor by law can deny after providing all the documentation required.

It is a shame that false and misleading information is being given to customers, I would file a claim with management but it seems like if management allows individuals like these to represent them then there are bigger issues there. Denying people vouchers when they actually need them is asking for bad karma. I recommend you check first before going out there to save you a trip.
