My husband and I were on vacation in Lihue when he broke his glasses - the second day of our stay! The optician at Crane Eye Care was able to fit him with new frames, using his existing lenses, after another optical place sent us away. We really appreciate the helpfulness of the staff at Crane - their optician truly saved our vacation! Very professional, courteous and out of their way helpful. Highly, highly recommended!
The ocean took my son's glasses. They can fit lenses to frames onsite. We got a replacement pair same day. We're lucky to have the capability on the island.
Worst customer service on the island. The intake receptionist has zero aloha in her heart. I would steer clear on this ophthalmologist. Experienced office that is number oriented only. Be careful, do your eyes a favor. Research doctors. I relied on a referral. Aloha

So greatful to Crane Eye Care! While on a cruise ported in Kauai my glasses broke. I saw another reviewer and chose to go here. What a wonderful experience they made a correction to the pair that broke but they also participated with my insurance so I was able to select and walk out with a new pair of glasses in less than 1 hour. Perfect timing for us to get back to our ship! I appreciated the expertise and all the help of the staff to get me glasses in such a short time frame.
I have been one of Dr. Cranes patients for 25 years. He diagnosed Toxoplasmosis in one of my eyes well before the blood test came back and saved the vision in my eye. He corrected a severe astigmatism to nerly 20/20 vision when he put in the Toric lens. He is quite simply the best eye doctor on Kauai and a world class one at that.
I m a tourist in Kauai. Last night I broke my glasses frame. Good reviews lead me to crane eye care. My experience was excellent. Optician Susan Cox was extremely helpful. She offered several possible solutions. She spent some time searching for a frame that my current lenses would fit into. She found a reasonably priced Oakley frame that worked and looked great I was out in under an hour! Dr Crane obviously chooses professional dedicated staff. If I ever need any kind of eye care I would go there. We have visited Kauai every year for 25 years. This is an excellent practice!
