Well my experience has been ok except when I first came here which was my first morning at Portland Providence and not being in the emergency room but being on the second floor I had an issue with two nurses who felt like they didn't want me to go outside until the end up calling security on me yes call security on me cuz I wanted to go outside and smoke a cigarette but they said I wasn't allowed to go outside cuz I had a heart monitor on me so I decide to leave the heart monitor in the room until I got back and they hunted me down and tell me to sign the paper and leave and don't come back but they said it was routine for them to call security which was a lie but then they still made me feel like I did something wrong which I did not do they were discriminating against me because after that I see everybody walking around here with a heart monitor that coming from this floor to the the it downstairs, smoking a cigarette and have the same thing I had but they're not being told they can't go outside and of course I'm black you know their Caucasian so we all know what that was. Straight up racism! They did not care that I was a patient in the hospital just the fact that I was black and I have a history and they just wanted to give me a hard time but not bothering anybody else but you didn't write this with it so I don't blame the whole hospital I just blame it on the 2 nurses & I feel they should get rid of them both you know & learn how to treat people regardless of their color.
