Joe's has been my family's go-to place for all things sporting goods since they were over on Dale and Front. They always have high quality stuff and interactions with employees have always been great. For example, six months or so ago my mom found a gift card to Joe's while cleaning that had $100 written on it and never looked used. She called up there to see if it was still good. Apparently they had switched systems since the card was issued and instead of saying "sorry, it is too old" they spent a good deal of time trying to track down the information and see if it had been used or not. That is way above and beyond. My main issue is actually getting help. I feel like it is always a long wait for bait and you generally have to ask for help, employees rarely approach you to see if you need help. Again, once you do talk to someone the interactions are great; they are friendly, knowledgable, and willing to spend time with you (which I know plays into the wait time). Lastly, when COVID hit, Joe's was the first store I went into that not only mandated masks, but enforced it. This was well before the government mandate- if I remember correctly it started as soon as they reopened after the shutdown. Until shortly after the government mandated masks and people started wearing them without being asked, they had someone sitting outside and turning away anyone you wasn't wearing a face covering (I saw some pretty interesting makeshift ones, but they had to cover the nose and mouth to be counted and for you to enter). The fact that they took my safety so seriously and put lives over money solidified my commitment to them and will be going here, well, forever.
