I almost never take time to review places but this experience has been so negative that I only wish to spare others from going through this.
My husband & I were loyal customers for almost 2 years to Essentials (never again will they be getting a penny from us though).
#1. HORRIBLE MICROBLADING. My goodness. The woman drew the shape & I told her I wanted it slightly different. She basically told me it would look stupid and didn t communicate at ALL with what she was doing. I am not even going into the color and all that because I know they will come back with it varies . But the SHAPE. My God that woman didn t even go CLOSE to the shape we discussed plus she butchered the natural hairs I did have by overplucking. Plus she did not do natural hair strokes. It looks like a blobby mess.
#2. My husband & I tried to book massage for our anniversary. My husband clearly articulated that it was for TWO of us & was a special occasion. The woman who booked the appointment even left notes that it was for our anniversary & would be for 2 people , BUT SHE DIDNT ACTUALLY BOOK IT. so we show up and I am told that I don t have an appointment and there s nothing we can do. The lady offered to STILL HAVE ME PAY for an hour long massage when we booked 90 minutes and would not be getting that. The kind thing to do, especially since I ve been coming for literally years... would be to say, sorry for the inconvenience and the mistake. I can t offer you 90 min. but if you d like to at least get in tonight for an hour, we ll cover the cost for you for the trouble and oversight on our end. But no that didn t happen.
#3. I asked MANY TIMES to speak to the manager /owner. Even got Joann (front desk) to give notes to the owner. I originally called on 5/8 at 11:30am and was told the owner just arrived and will call you back in 20 min. Never received a phone call at all. Spoke to Joann on 5/9 who stated, I will personally call tomorrow 5/10 and let you know what the owner says. So it s 5/10, I took the initiative to call after waiting almost all day and am told the owner gets in at 5pm and will reach out. Well it s 7:15pm folks and no one has called me. I m just astounded that a business would treat loyal customers like this. We had raved positive review and even recommended others to visit but I am regretting ever telling others about this place. There s a better massage parlor 5 min away for comparable pricing. Don t waste your time or money at this business.
