If visiting Suriname and staying in the Paramaribo area, staying at the Marriott is a must if you want to get the best bang for your buck when it comes to receiving GREAT SERVICE with a GREAT SMILE! This was my first visit to Suriname. As always, I carry my cards for security and no cash at all. To my surprise, the fee for the visit card must be paid in either Euros or USD. Needless to say, the Marriott staff sent cost of my visa fee with the shuttle driver in an effort to get my on the way to the hotel. Moreover, due to their great relationship with Suriname Air, the hotel staff were able to alert me of my flights delay before it was communicated via website. Also, the hotel provide guests with early morning flights the ability to travel to the airport with a great breakfast to go! Though I was on work travel, the Marriott also has shuttle service into and from town for local sightseeing and all. The staff and all reqlgarding this Marriott deserves a 10.
