If you are considering going to the ER express clinic, which is a walk in urgent care arm of the main emergency room, let me save you some time. Here's how it works. If you look up the wait time, it will say something like 15 min. That means a 15 minute wait to get in to triage. It does NOT mean 15 minutes to see the doctor. I was triaged quickly and then sent back to the waiting room. 2 hours later I asked what the wait time was for the express clinic and was told they decided I needed to be seen in the main ER. I was not informed of that. I Didnt feel i was sick enough for the main ER and would have liked the opportunity to decide whether I wanted to leave and go to an acute care facility instead of the main emergency room. 5 hours later I was still waiting, there were patients in the waiting room who had been there for 7 hours and were crying and begging to see the doctor. I finally left. Without having my issue addressed. I still feel bad but at least I am home able to write this review away from that awful waiting room. I noticed that FOrt Walton Beach Medical Center has a scripted response to all of these negative reviews so I want to circumvent that. Don't ask ME to call your customer care in order to resolve this complaint. You guys call ME. You have the problem and should be proactive in reaching out to dissatisfied patients.
