I went there to look at a van and trade in my current vehicle. I was upfront and honest about owing on my current vehicle and wanting what I owe on it otherwise I would not be getting a new car. I made sure to tell the man helping me that I did not want them to pull my credit until I knew what they were offering me on my car. Long story short, they didn't offer me what I wanted on my car so I told them I wasn't interested in buying their van. He of course went and got his manager (I think his name was Jason) who then for 10 minutes tried to persuade to buy the vehicle anyways. He was very condescending which I did not appreciate and after 5 times of telling him that I was not going to buy a new car, I will keep the car I own and I would like to leave because its late and I want to go to dinner and standing up, getting my purse, and pushing my chair in, asking for my car back (meanwhile he doesn't budge) he finally agreed. He went to the back and I waited about 10 more minutes for the sales person to go get my car. In the meantime I get a call from Lifelock letting me know that there is a hard inquiry on my credit. I confront the sales guy about it who lies and says they didn't submit it, I told him that I received a call and have email proof from Lifelock that they did despite me never actually applying for the loan because they wouldn't offer me what I wanted for my car. After getting back in my car, the manager comes out and stops me and again tries to persuade me to buy the van. The manager made me feel so uncomfortable that I cried on the way home and considered calling the police to report harassment because he would not give me my car back when I asked multiple times and quiet honestly I felt very trapped. I even inspected my car once I got it back because of the way he acted I worried he would retaliate and mess with my car before returning it to me. I now have a hard inquiry on my credit that should not be there and takes up to 2 years to be removed. In the future when I start looking again I will definitely not be returning to this dealership.
