I'll start off nice. The customer service was excellent and very kind. Ok now that that's over lets get to the issues

I reserved two nights in a Standard room at a little over $200 a night in room 209. When I first approached the room the door was open. I thought that was strange. Later in the night I noticed that that door doesn't shut very well from the sound of my fiance opening and closing the door four times in attempts to get it to close and stay closed.

There is bad odor in the room that you will get used too.

I took a shower that night and the water went from scolding hot to freezing cold. Not very pleasant. I also took another shower the next day around 11:00 am and it did that same thing.

I was awoken to the sound of a rodent scratching in the wall right behind the bed. This was very annoying. I was then distracted from the sound of mice in the walls to a sound of a vacuum cleaner running. This was probably around 8:00am. Thank goodness that didn't last long and seemed to scare the rodent away. So we can gather the walls are very thin.

They offer WIFI. only in the lobby. And it is a horrible connection. I could hardly load my email, I was the only one in the lobby at the time. So mass usage is not the excuse they will give you as to why it is slow.

I went to my room around noon and when approaching the door i noticed it was open..... I made sure the door shut and locked before i left that morning. I asked the maid if she had been in my room.... She said yes. Why would the maid be in my room when i had the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the broken door knob? She said she didn't see on the her list the our room was not on there....?.... Strange. Everything was there and I'm sure it was a stupid mistake but the fact that she did shut my door or make sure it was shut makes me upset. ANYONE could have walked right in STOLEN my belongings. Very Very unsafe and insecure.

I decided to go home that day and not stay the last night.

There are other places near the ski resort you can stay at and would have to actually be worth $200. Because at the Inn at China Peak for $200 a night you will get a stinky room, broken door handle, hot and cold shower, your privacy and security being breached, slow WIFI and thin walls to share rodents. Did I mention the sand on the bed too?
