We had Krings out to service our Quadra-Fire pelle...

We had Krings out to service our Quadra-Fire pellet stove. The tech found some pellets inside the auger that had been exposed to water and had hardened. He called his supervisor because he seemed inexperienced and didn't know how to fix the issue and came back with 2 options.



We decided to not do anything and instead, my father-in-law wanted to take a look. He managed to fix the issue within 30 minutes without breaking a single part. However, the tech never finished servicing the pellet stove, because he stopped when he found the hardened pellets. They still charged us full price, however.

The reason we were getting the stove serviced was that it sometimes leaked smoke during the shut-off process. I called Krings to inform them my father-in-law easily fixed the issue they tried to charge us hundreds/thousands for and to give them the chance to come back and finish the service call, at no cost to us.

Josh flat out told me they would come back out, but we would have to pay full price for another service call. For a locally owned and operated business, that customer service experience was horrendous. They screwed up, plain and simple, and now want to collect another service call fee to complete the service we already paid for. I will stick to using Wood Heat moving forward as they stand by their work.
