I have never been a journal sentinel customer in my life, but from the one contact I had with a sales person I can tell how slimy they are as a company. I was at a Brewers game last year and there was a journal sentinel stand there. They where giving away brewers sweatshirts if you would "donate" $20 to the journal. They wouldn't take cash and a few of my family members wanted them so I asked if I could swipe for all of us. He said that that wasn't allowed and each person had to pay separately. Its obvious now what was happening (he was signing each of us up as members), but at the time I never thought an employee of a "legitimate" company would straight up lie and sign people up for accounts they didn't consent to. Instantly when I got the email stating I was signed up for an account I called to cancel and get a refund. Even still I get emails non stop from the Journal even though I have unsubscribed from all of their emails numerous times. I wasn't even going to write this review, but I'm tired of getting these emails after they already tried to steal from me. Take me off your email list thanks.

TLDR:
The Journal is dying. Being a slimy company and illegally signing people up for accounts is not going to help save your dying business. Adapt or die, don't steal from the community you are supposed to help.
