Had a utility bill go to collections years ago (2015 or so) paid it off at a later date and the collection was recalled from Gatestone. They left a mark on my credit (Equifax) and are refusing to remove it claiming "they can't" even though I have a letter from the original debtor stating it was paid and by their own admission "they are no longer involved" been hung up on, shuffled around, etc with no recourse except filing an Equifax Dispute which of course is a huge pain compared to just some half decent service.
