My mother contracted Kodiak Construction for some flooring, an updated shower, some steps and railing, and to have her laundry moved to the main floor. I was present for the estimate. The work was purported to start in a timely manner; it was not and took several phone calls to even tie down a tentative date. Upon completion there was no vent for the dryer or 220 to power it. Kodiak returned installing a 36 dryer went with two 90 degree bends. I believe code to be 35 feet straight. Bends take off feet. Kodiak put my mother into contact with an electrician to run the 220. She had to pay the electrician out of pocket. What type of general contractor moves the laundry and does not seem that it is important that it work? Kodiak was the general contractor, this includes the electrician. The only trade, at the estimate, that was mentioned as not provided was the painter. Kodiak did not live up to their estimate.
