First time at Nakiska. LOVED IT. I can't believe it has taken me years to try it. The runs are so long, tree groomed and wide with beautiful views. Just FUN and not difficult at all. Like rollercoaster runs, my favourite! The drive was much shorter, the ticket prices less, the parking easy. So many great things! It is still early season and not all of the runs were open. I can't wait to come back when there is more natural snow and every run is open soon! The one thing that did upset me a bit is the fact that we took the gold chair up and were not told that every blue run from the top was closed. The chair lift operator at the top directed us to a blue run down that was also not open. We had to take off our skies and pick our way down a black run because it was too icy for us nervous skiers that stick to green/blue runs. I think it's important to notify people going up a chair lift if there are only black runs open at the top.
