Where to begin. Just getting up the elevator is a major challenge. The doors close before you can get in and you have to call another, which is not the next to come. You have to wait for the one going to your floor... it took me 35 minutes to go to the lobby and back up this morning. The lobby was so crowded that even getting around was frankly frightening. Watching the Macy's parade was less pushy.
No amenities; no coffee maker, no wired internet (installed and active, just disconnected from router so you have to pay $15 (per device!) for wireless), nothing but a bed, TV and dirty desk. Expensive to leave your bags in storage with a 20 minute line to get them out.
The room carpet is crusty and I was afraid to walk on it. Old furniture with stains and scratches, wires hanging out from where old modem lines had been ripped out. There was a 2 cm gap under our door so you can hear everything going on out in the hall. On the bright side the Security guy who broke into the room across the hall at midnight did prove to demonstrate how easy it would be to get into a room even with the safety latch on. He was not impressed when I opened our door and when I asked who he was got angry and threatening. Poor show.
The room faced a central courtyard which was dark even at noon. No cell service in the interior rooms as too deep in concrete.
The location is good, but NOT a luxury Hotel (the rooms, service and amenities are far better at a Super 8) nor could one stay here for any extended length.
