The only reason I don't give them 5 stars is because they need some training on phone etiquette. The few times I've spoken with anyone in their office they always seem "put off," but other than that, I'm satisfied.
In Nov. 2017 we purchased a 3yr/300k mile Platinum Warranty for our 2014 Pete 388 with a Cummins ISX15. Wasn't cheap, $8k+.
Episode 1: March 2018; High-Pressure Fuel leak, long story short all 6 injectors had to be replaced due to a slight design change with the Rail connectors. NTP paid over $6k of the $8500+ bill.
Episode 2: June 2018; NOx sensor issue. NTP paid the $1,500 bill less my $300 deductible.
Episode 3: October 2018; VGT Actuator went out. Rush Phoenix told me that NTP and others typically do not cover it. Sure enough, not covered as is stated in contract they don't cover electrical components. It wasn't cheap, but I paid it and moved on.
So my thoughts are this. NTP has been a stand up partner for us in this first year with our truck. We have two more years left of our warranty. We strive for impeccable maintenance and record keeping. When we have a problem, we have it checked out ASAP. Just simple logical common sense goes a long way. I would surely recommend these guys and if the time comes again and we're looking to buy again, they will be our first consideration.
