Review of Fort Worth Audi

I do NOT like to shop - for anything - but especially cars. But when my 16 year old son needed a car he inherited my 8 year old Acura TL and I was thrust into the car-buying market. Having bought Japanese for the last 25+ years it was a departure for me to think German but since I buy cars so rarely figured I should at least take a look. I checked out a local BMW dealership and liked the ride, which reinforced my decision to look at German cars, but the salesman reinforced most of the negative stereotypes I had of car salesmen. But once I tried the BMW and liked it I began researching other German cars and discovered that the Audi A-6 had some of the best reviews across the board, which led me to Fort Worth Audi, even better than the BMW 5 series.

From the time I walked into Fort Worth Audi in August 2013 I was completely at ease. I was greeted by Ryan who claims to be a bartender at heart (reference to his previous job when he actually WAS a bartender). A ploy to draw me in? Perhaps, but a year later I m not at all disappointed. After test driving the A-6 I wanted to buy one, and when I discovered that the TDI was rated at 38 mpg on the highway I really wanted to get that particular one. (BTW, I recently got over 47 mpg on all highway driving between Plano and Fort Worth!). Ryan takes a low-pressure approach which suits me well. In fact, I have never felt pressured by anyone at Fort Worth Audi, and I have had the opportunity to work with many of their staff, which gets to the primary reason why I as someone who has never written a review for anything am writing this one.

The reason I have had the opportunity to get to know so many people at Fort Worth Audi is because my car had a problem. It turned out to be a very simple but elusive problem that evaded detection for two months. In the end, they figured out what the problem was and the car has run well ever since.

If that was all there was to it I wouldn t be writing this review. But everyone at Fort Worth Audi manager (Jeff), new car manager (Adam), service director (Carlos), service advisor (Kyle) have gone above and beyond, exceeding my expectations, no small feat since I m hard to please (ask my wife!). When it was clear that there was not an easy fix to my car s problem the service center kicked it into high gear. They had engineers in Germany skyping in and one from Michigan actually came to Fort Worth to try to figure it out. Maybe it was because 2014 was the first year in which Audi offered the TDI in an A6, or because the problem was so perplexing. Regardless, throughout the process the staff at Fort Worth Audi acted professionally and courteously They kept in constant contact with me and provided loaner cars (my choice of what was available so I got to test drive several) during the time I was without mine. They have done everything possible to make sure I am happy.

I waited a year to write this review because I wanted to make sure that my initial positive impression of their attentiveness wouldn t fade into indifference with time. It has not. They continue to be as attentive a year later as they were initially perhaps even more so since they know me even though now there is nothing wrong with my car. And although I may over-use their free car wash service they always seem happy to see me and offer me drinks while I wait. I would highly recommend Fort Worth Audi to anyone in search of a new car, especially if it s an Audi which, by the way, I highly recommend as well!
