A glass and metal sail, composed of two buildings connected by bridges, is the work signed by the Milanese architect Dante Oscar Benini chosen as the seat of the Prelios company.
The sail stands out on Via Valtellina, a few minutes walk from the Isola neighborhood, a radical-chic area of Milan that has undergone a massive gentrification phenomenon in recent years. The building was redesigned in a totally smart working perspective and according to eco-sustainability criteria. Among the energy strategies adopted in the project, a temperature regulation system interfaced with BMS (Building Management System) and sensors on glazed facades. The building is also characterized by the "climatic wall", consisting of an external and an internal cladding, with the external micro-perforated surface that allows the vision to the outside. The artificial lighting system is dynamic, aimed at achieving high levels of energy efficiency.
