With the lake Michigan at its backdrop, Baha'i House of Worship is a single sacred space for the North American continent. Situated at Wilmette, Illinois, it marks the a lofty purpose of making humanity find a place of meeting in order to conduct unity and fellowship among them. With more than 30 years in construction and helmed by French-Canadian architect Louis Bourgeois, this architectural marvel surely is a place of sanctity and humane harmony. An area of gardens encircles this nine-sided Structure that harbours a durable ornamentation of concrete panels composed of quartz crystal and white cement. The inner central dome is intricately carved with utmost precision and truly brings out the core principles of the Baha'i Faith.
