Absolutely amazing people. We found an infant raccoon abandoned on an embankment near a river while fishing, dehydrated and malnourished but still fighting to stay alive. Tried to contact the Parks and Wildlife staff, Animal Control, and was told just leave it they won't touch it. I'm like why the heck would I leave this guy to die when he can have a long and happy life. So we found Greenwood while looking up local wildlife rescues and despite low staff and being packed they agreed to lend the guy a hand and do their best to help him win his war against death.
