I was a member for a year. I ended my membership after much contemplation. I originally joined because I was told it was a great opportunity to network and offered workspace. Being new to Atlanta this was appealing to me. However, after a year, I had made NO connections. People seem to stick to who they know. The workspaces are awesome. But, some of the staff always seemed to look at me like I didn't belong. It got uncomfortable going in. Also, the drinks and food are way overpriced. I brought it up to two of the advisors there and they never responded. As a member, there are no real benefits. You literally just have access. It's like bragging rights. You get to walk in at any time and flaunt your membership, but nothing real comes out of it. I run a non profit organization. I was told before joining that I would get great pricing on event space. When I inquired, the price was highly inflated. Literally the same, if not higher, than other and bigger venues in and around Atlanta. I also brought up the concerns when I opted to cancel. The young lady never addressed the prices or the member benefits but did offer to connect me to some people. I agreed to try. However, after telling her the type of connections I'd like to make (she asked) I didn't hear from her for 2 weeks. Then a few days before my automatic draft, I reached out to her to see if we could move forward with the connections and she responded that my membership had been cancelled as originally requested. She didn't even try. I felt extremely disrespected on multiple occasions at this club. To no fault of the owner. I personally met him once (although I see him often roaming around the club) on his birthday. Very friendly and seemed to be genuinely interested in if we were having a good time. I hated to leave but I've been a member of clubs before and this one really missed the mark with me. I guess I'm spoiled. But it could use some improvements in the membership department. I tried giving suggestions but they fell on deaf ears. Being a concierge and service expert the experience was mildly disappointing. Still an awesome spot. Membership just isn't worth it to me. I gave them thousands of dollars over the year with nothing in return. I am proud of it's growth, though. I hope TGS keeps growing and maybe if they get it right, I'll be back.
