I surrendered my daughter's cat April 18, '18. I've called twice in those six days, asking how she is adjusting. I was told both times, one of which was just this afternoon, that she was scared and not doing well. I was told by "Destiny" that she wasn't moving, and that they were going to put her in a cat condo where she had more room (Duh!--ya' can't move if there is nowhere to move TO!) Let me say tho' that the comment was not intended for Destiny, as she was very helpful. Same conversation I was also told that "they" (behavioral staff) were also looking at a foster or rescue, as the poor cat was doing worse at their shelter. Her words. At this point I am wanting to have the cat back to spare her more suffering. This entire process has been heartbreaking for everyone. Even tho' putting her into my home would be a challenge, I knew the poor cat would know me and would do very well under my care. I Was told that I would need to go thru' the regular adoption process because it was after six days. Note----today IS the sixth day. I then asked to speak with a supervisor. "Oh, hold on a minute!". Put on hold, Destiny comes back and tells me that since the cat is still in the behavioral area, I could have her back as a "Return to Owner"----that I needed to call 493-4584 and they would help me. Yeah, right!? I immediately called, but "no surprise", no answer, so left a detailed message. This is the "good" part---I did get a returned call from "Adam". Guess what he said! Adam tells me that the cat I want back is getting ready to go into ADOPTIONS! Now you understand that this is the same cat that five minutes ago was immobile, and needed fostering before she could go into adoptions!?? Okay, now I want to know WHERE the cat is! Is she even alive?? Why all the contradictory information? I'm definitely getting the royal run-around by these supposedly professional, caring people! I want answers!! QUICKLY!
