Very disappointing experience. During research for used car purchase, Prestman's inventory kept showing up with great prices for the models I was looking for, so they were the first place I stopped. Despite amazing value deals the experience was not good.

a) An 8-year-old car with 16k miles (!!) selling for LESS than the same model with 67K? Huh? What's up with that? No answer, just a vague "Uh...it's a branded title, we don't know anything." Yeah, I think you know why you set prices where you do!

b) Lowball offer on trade-in was disappointing. My old car has value without being restored to pristine condition. If you don't want to take a trade-in just say so.

c) I wanted to drive the car to my mechanic after making an appointment, but they would only do this AFTER we had a sales contract with the stipulation that they wouild "fix anything he finds". No. Let's do it the other way.

d) Offering the magical "2.7% financing!" was an obvious crock. We just refinanced our home, our credit is fine, but we weren't getting 2.7%.

e) The addition of the "destination fees" would have been a deal breaker.

So, I don't know if this could actually be called "misrepresentation", but I'd urge anyone who goes into Prestman with pie-in-the-sky expectations based on listed price to back off and do some hard analysis. I was disappointed at first, but now I'm happy to say goodbye to those "too good to be true" prices.

ps) They sure write a lot of nice reviews for themselves, though.
