No experience but reading reviews I see some are upset about having to put their dogs in a crate at certain times. Those in charge need to know and tell their clients that dogs are pack animals and also like the safety of a crate. If a crate has been used as punishment then the dog was abused. Dogs can be comfortable and feel safe for 8 hours in a crate.
"Service" dogs serve better when their needs are met. A crate is rest time and dogs do not like to hear people argue or be yelled at. When you are homeless some give and take needs to be understood.
